Will the SOC fire up if no QB in the first?

Just curious. I hope so because it would royally be depressing.

I sure hope that this re-purpose is not going to use the SOC name. It's okay to use the email list but to use the name, that could backfire on you and ruin the good name and choices SOC had previously made.

That is Reid/Dorsey's job is not only get the best player for the Chiefs at 1 and who knows what they really think and feel about the QBs in this class, BUT IF they really feel that there is no real NO.1 QB to be taken with the first pick then look for REID and DORSEY to start conditioning the fan base(which they have already started doing to some degree) to go a different direction and beating that mantra a little louder each week up until Thurs nite 1st rd draft night so as to not piss off the fan base by surprise but to be expected to some degree. If the mantra continues to be soft all the way until draft day then look for us to take a QB IMO.

Just to be clear, it seems you are saying that if the evaluation is that (for example) Foles looks better than any QB coming out this year, do not trade a 3 or 4 for him but instead draft a QB at #1 just to be able to say the Chiefs drafted a QB in the first. Is that an accurate? description?

The bottom line is, we will either have the guy here on draft day already or they will draft one. I do not care if it is at #1 or #100, as ling as they get "the guy". I also do not care that it has been 30 years since they took a QB in round 1. The bigger issue is that they have not hit on anyone at that position, ever, in any round.

If their evaluation is that Foles is better than any QB coming out, I have to question their evaluation. Plain and simple.

That argument is a cop out.

The probability of hitting on a 1st round QB is INFINITELY higher than hitting on a QB in any of the other rounds.

Yes, because you obviously know a hell of lot more about Nick Foles than Andy Reid does. You saw him practice every day last year, you saw every snap that he played in every game last year, and you scouted him before you drafted him.

You also obviously know a hell of a lot more about the quarterbacks in the upcoming draft than Andy Reid and John Dorsey do, because your full-time job is to evaluate players and you have access to all of the scouting information that they do.

I'm not saying you should put blind faith in Reid and Dorsey. But you idiots who stubbornly insist that you are the experts and you know more than Reid and Dorsey are delusional, and you shouldn't be surprised that you are mocked and ridiculed.

That's the response I expected. Your problem is that you fail to understand the difference. Scott ***** PROVED that he's an idiot who has no business being in charge of a franchise. Once he did that, he deserved all of the criticism and second-guessing.

Andy Reid has already proved that he is a hell of a good head coach. John Dorsey hasn't really proved anything yet as the head of an organization, but he has all of the right credentials. I know, ***** had all of the right credentials too. That doesn't mean a team should give up and never hire any more general managers. It means ***** was a mistake.

The fact is that selecting the starting quarterback is a crapshoot, and there are no guaranteed outcomes. The only thing that's guaranteed is this: letting the fans determine who should play quarterback is a losing proposition.

So you can pat yourself on the back all you want and say "See, I was RIGHT ABOUT SCOTT ***** AND MATT CASSEL". It doesn't matter. ***** is not in charge any more. If you DON'T understand the difference, and you DO think it's the same thing all over again, then you're not paying attention.

I'm not sure how you can say that when this is Dorsey and Reid's evaluation, not *****'s. Like Bowler stated, Reid watched Foles for months, first hand, every day. He should know if he has it or not, more than anybody.

I'd say you have a pretty good case. Time to start a Google doc.

Easy same shit was said that Scott Pioli watched Cassel in practice and we shouldn't doubt Scott ****ing pioli.

They will get Foles and tell us how great he is yadda yadda yadda bull shit. Then we will get to watch him suck for four years and excuses from the "true fans"

Do you even know what Nick Foles accomplished in college? He was a damn good starting quarterback in college, whereas Cassel carried a clipboard and never started.

If you think Dorsey = Pioli and Foles = Cassel, then you're nothing more than loudmouthed buffoon who just likes to bitch.
