when I was 15 I was at a Royals game with my dad and step-brother...they were playing the A's...
Jeremy Giambi just absolutely TURNED on a ball (we were sitting first row first base side about 20 feet past the dugout) foul and the thing came at me like 100 MPH. Everyone else had the good idea of getting out of the way while stubborn, young, athletic me thought he could barehand that sucker... well it hit me right in the right hand but it bounced right off and landed in the girl's popcorn two seats behind me... pissed me off well my friends saw me on TV drop that foul ball...so that was my TV moment. It was a ****ing laser though. my first college roommate was a diehard Colts fan...he went to a Colts game and borrowed my hooded sweatshirt...this was 2003 or maybe early 2004. In 2006 or 2008 (I forget) I was watching something on ESPN about the Pats/Colts rivalry and they were replaying the highlights of this game (the game he was at in Indy) and Indy had just scored a TD right before half and had to kick it off so the Pats would presumably take a knee to go into half... well Bethel Johnson busted it for a walkoff TD before half right after the Colts went on a typical Peyton Manning drive to tie up the game etc. etc. etc. well they showed a random fan in just pure disbelief of what had happened...I looked up half asleep and it was freaking Bryce wearing my sweatshirt. It was hilarious. An HD zoom in of my college roommate just in pure disbelief wearing the Nike hoodie he stole or borrowed from me (I forget)... didn't expect to see that memory on a random TV spot on ESPN 2 or 3 years after that game even happened it was pretty funny |

My parents watched me stumble, falling through a full somersault and land back on my feet full speed trip to get to the front row of a Aerosmith concert at that complex up by Valley Center that made the news that very nite, I had the waiting party since that's not entirely where I said I was going. I think that was somewhere around 1978/79.
