Mike and Mike Talking about Geno going #1 overall

It was just a matter of time. Obviously the Chiefs don't need him but they are helping create a market for a trade.

Apparently Jaws loves the kid.

Apparently you didn't watch the Kansas State game. Kansas State probably blitzed Geno Smith only once or twice. Most of the time they were doing a good job getting pressure on him using only 3 or 4 down linemen. They beat Holgorson's offensive attack by dropping everybody into coverage and letting all the short throws happen without any room to run after the catch.

That was a game where Geno should have tried to beat KState with his legs so stuff down the field would open up. That was his biggest problem in that game along with Holgorson being a ****ing terrible coach.

Coupled with his defense shitting down their leg again. Dude pressed all season because of that, and no one seems to account for it in the national media.

Here you go cheese...here is Geno versus about seven first round NFL players. Most NFL teams don't have this much talent on the defensive side of the ball.

By the way, I love your "enough, but the one I did watch..." comment. Enough is one then? Idiot.

Imagine Geno in those tight black/gold/teal jerseys next year. I can't even do it because I don't know what our new jerseys will look like.

I bet it will look good

In that case, I'd definitely roll the dice on one of the QBs coming out.

Alex has a 2 year contract. Hypothetically, KC doesn't give him a new contract. If he doesn't play well or even regresses, KC either turns to Chase Daniel or Stanzi or has to in all likelihood trade up for a QB.

It is better to use 1.1 on a QB that even if he doesn't play immediately, might secure long term stability rather than trying to trade up for a QB in the future.

That's because no one bothers to research our team and just guesses. That's why no one ever gets our pick right in their mocks. As soon as we sign a free agent RT they will wise up.

Nobody gets your picks correctly because you morons take guys like Tyson Alualu three rounds before anyone else had him going off their boards. How can you predict stupidity of that magnitude?

And you'll be using Khan Jr.'s team of saber metricians to draft this year.

It will probably be an offensive tackle in all likelihood to be honest.

That's not true, unless you ignore the individuals being considered. (And even then, I'm not sure whether it's true or not, but that's beside the point). That's what I'm accusing you of doing and you keep confirming it.

Sure it is, but you can't impose that bolded assumption on everyone else.

The important part of this is how well they end up playing, not how long their contract is. If Alex Smith performs, he's going to sign an extension.
