I think it's ALL a smokescreen.
I think the offseason FA plan was to fill all gaping holes so that you really could draft best player available and not think twice. I think that Reid and Dorsey would like to trade down and acquire more picks but would be quite content taking the best player at #1 if that's how it plays out. I don't for a minute think that means a LT. I think they'd take Geno and not look back. I don't for a minute think they're intending to trade Albert for a #2. I DO think they'd like to float that in case someone really wants Joekel or Geno. I think it's all maximizing the worth of that pick for possible trade, and I think they're content to go with the flow either way. Maddening, but probably smart. |
