I totally had the folder of maps and quests for EQ. It was impossible to figure anything out otherwise. Was it just me and my friends/guild or were Enchanters designed to be bait. I remember when AA was first introduced and we would joke about /disc chanterdeath. And it was never a successful group unless the chanter died. As for Vanguard, I met fruit ninja there too. That game was the closest to EQ, but sans the amazing long camp times. It was perfect, minus the fact that the coding was all wrong and it actually played like shit. I did love the class design though. Some of the most unique classes that I haven't seen replicated yet in any other game. |

I played a Disciple (Best class ever) under this name and was in Blades of Wrath. In fact; I just re-installed VG and have been running around for nostalgia purposes the last few days. It's free to play. Vanguard was an amazing game (even with some buggy quests), but the lack of end content killed it. We waited 6 months at max level doing nothing, waiting for them to finish Ancient Port Warehouse... only to beat it within a month or two. |

Disciple was awesome, the other healer that was a Bloodmage or something that would steal body parts from the mobs to heal you. I loved the tank classes, and I particularly loved the Psionicists. I love doing crowd control, which is part of the reason that I don't like a lot of MMO's now. There is no challenge, it's just walk into a room, AE, AE, AE, walk to the next room. rinse, repeat. Also, bard was a lot of fun, it was great being able to mix and match the different portions of the songs that you play. |
