and I never thought I was cool some of my decisions were definitely based on that.
One of the main life lessons I taught my children: don't let other people decide what you should or shouldn't do. It has taken very well.

Maybe this will help you stay on track.
Go to your local hardware store and look at a 7" circular saw. Okay, that is what they use when they cut your chest open to operate on your heart. They split the sternum in half to expose the heart and arteries. When they get done then they tie the bone back together with wires like a ring mail armor. If you are really lucky you might feel some of the left side of your chest again. It has been a little over a year for me and I still can't feel anything on my left side at all. You will have a permanent two foot scar down the center of your chest. Get used to it because it will never go away. Your heart and lungs work together to move oxygen rich blood throughout the body. Screw up your lungs and your heart has to work much harder then it was designed to. So when that happens you are inviting a heart attack. If you live through it you are lucky. If not, well it was your time to go. I smoked for 40 years but when I came out of that hospital and craved a cigarette, all I had to do was ask myself: "Do you really need to have your chest cut open again to convince you that smoking is a bad idea?" The desire comes often at first but it doesn't last long each time. Finaly after about a year you won't want to smoke ever again. Food tastes much better, you can smell again, and you don't stink anymore. People that smoke don't realize that they stink from it.

You know what's funny? I am smoking an e-cig right now. The flavor that I am smoking? Ecto-cooler.
