I'm starting to see why Andy Reid and John Dorsey traded for Alex Smith as the safer bet. And it makes a lot of sense from a "leading the team" standpoint.
Yeah, 2009 with new faces. Yay.

well by that logic there was not a QB worth a shit in 2009 either, so the concept worked in theory,

the problem was they held onto the 2009 plan way too long and missed QBs in the following years

People saw in Geno what everyone else in the NFL saw. A QB in a system with overinflated stats.

The stats against Geno are irrefutable.

And it doesn't help when people think he's immature and what does he do at the draft? Pout like a baby and go home.

When times get tough, people need to be tough to succeed. Geno doesn't stand up when times are tough. He gets pissed off and pouts.

No, he would have been a reach at the top of the 2nd. The fact that he was taken ahead of 3-4 better prospects makes him a reach.

Clay you bring up stats all the time against players you don't like, but yet you won't bring up the damning facts against Geno.

I don't get it..

So, you're down with another retread QB and wasting the franchises' first overall pick on a lineman. Got it.

This has to be the easiest to please fan base ever. Bring in a retread and get 8 or 9 wins and KC is just ecstatic. Mention drafting a QB early and even TRYING to get a QOTF and people fall all over themselves stupid.

I'm not saying Geno or any QB in this class is a can't miss prospect or anything of the like, but you don't get draft picks this high very often (nor do you want them), but you also DO NOT trade them for someone like Average Smith. Look at the potential options we would have had at #34. SMH It pisses me off that this franchise doesn't even try.

Just checking, but were you okay with over paying for Average Smith or Chase Daniel? They could be seen in the same similar light except with less upside. Smith's system was a dominant DEF though.

He wasn't...people reading into something they "heard". Obviously there were the awkward camera shots, but nothing like these assholes are making out.
