With his age, I doubt they want to have a longer pay contract. Probably better to just eat it now.

They wouldn't have to pay a longer contract. Just switch some of his base money to bonus money.

Just meant I doubt they want to add years on, which usually happens with a restructure, with his age being what it is.

They usually just convert a part of his base salary into a guaranteed bonus.

For example, when Brandon Carr restructured, they converted $13,250,000 of his 14 mil base salary into a bonus giving them only a cap hit of 750,000.
