Baldwin appears to be #2 WR

Chiefs | Jonathan Baldwin seems to be top choice for No. 2 WR job
Thu, 16 May 2013 16:37:02 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR Jonathan Baldwin appears to be the favorite for the No. 2 wide receiver job at this point but has not emerged as the dominant offseason player like he was last offseason. WRs Donnie Avery, Dexter McCluster and Terrance Copper are also expected to be candidates for the job.

I really hope he breaks out this year. I know most have written him off but by God he has some talent and just maybe Reid will bring it out. Anyway Avery is already hurt.

If the guys ends the season with more than 30 catches, I'll call it a win.

I have serious doubts that will happen.

Didn't the paper say something about Reid jumping all over Baldwin for not hustling the other day? I can't see Baldwin ever doing anything. He doesn't get it.

So everything has to be perfect for him to succeed? You don't want that.

Exactly this. People conveniently don't mention that because they're in denial.

If he does his usual beast mode without any pads on act, then whatever. He probably wasn't going to break into the starting lineup past Avery anyway.

If he gets cut from the team because he's so terrible, then oh well. We'll have to find somebody else to replace 15 catches 200 yards and 1 TD. Andy Reid could open his black book and give Hank Baskett, James Thrash, or any ol' slapdick of his a call just to get that kind of production.
Idk that you can put anything on Baldwin for last year. Who the hell was there on this coaching staff that knew wtf they were doing last season?

Several players have not been able to perform due to coaching the past couple years. This year is gonna be fun. McCluster and Baldwin on O and our whole defense is pumped to attack this year. Can't wait !

Even more BS.

All the playmakers on our team individually performed just as well as they always have. Bowe, Charles, DJ, Houston, Hali, etc. Why didn't their production suffer? There are living, breathing examples of why your excuse making won't cut it anymore and honestly never has cut it. This homerism is out of control.
