I'm a huge a Wade fan but he isn't DWade no more. Shell of his former self. Don't know if the knee is just killing him or what.

The all-time list of players doing absolutely everything for their team in the postseason isn't very long. Yes, LeBron is doing something incredible right now. And if he does it for 5 more wins, it will be right near the very top.

#1. You already admitted you despise him for what he did to Cleveland. #2. Nobody here was making him out to be some hero...just one of the greatest of all time in his sport (which he clearly is).

LeBron makes the right god damn play...even if it's down the stretch. Now...should he be taking it to the rack hard when they need points? Yep. Every time...but if he takes it to the rack and 4 people collapse and leave Ray Allen wide open for a 3...it's not LeBron's fault for making the right play and seeing his teammate miss a shot.

I don't need to see LeBron take every shot like MJ to be able to compare him to MJ. Besides...the bullshit foul out game he just ****ing nailed a big ****ing 3 and I was so mad to see that dumbass foul call because I really wanted to see LeBron in the clutch and that was a perfect time for a Jordan moment...

instead we were robbed by one of the worst ****ing calls I've ever seen...you just CAN'T make that call...ever. Not on LeBron. Really...not on anyone. So bad.

I can't believe LeBron kept his cool after that.
I get what you're saying. But again... I think the Pacers series is a LeBron we haven't seen before. Last year, they pulled away from most games and when the game got closed, he wanted to kick it out (Wade seemed like more of the closer the past 2 years). Against the Bulls, he was effective but not showstopping late in the game. Game 2 and Game 5 were a LeBron I'm not used to seeing.

But to KC Connection's point, is this one of the greatest playoff performances of all time? Please. How can you compare that to a guy like Jordan who in the prime of his career was averaging over 34-35 points per game in the playoffs. The greatest playoff performance of all time is by a wide margin MJ in 1989 when he single-handedly shredded the Cavs with repeated late game heroics.

Agreed, it was a complete joke to make that call in that situation. Laughable stuff. I do hope the refs in Indiana are less awful in game 6 than game 4, but I'm not getting my hopes up there.

I despise him but compliment him where appropriate. I've yet to see you say even one remotely bad thing about lebron.

When you start comparing him to Jordan and talking about all time great playoff performances, and then act like he has been dealt one of the worst hands in playoff basketball history, that's where I push back.

What bad things should people be saying about him and why?

He is comparable to Jordan in terms of his dominant impact on the game of basketball (although you were the one who brought up MJ here in the petty attempt to diminish LeBron, nobody else). He also is in the middle of yet another incredible playoff run, except this time he's doing it with no help at all (reminiscent of his Cleveland days). This is all pretty inarguable for any objective observer.

Are you kidding me? You keep talking about how is one of the all-time best clutch performers and how his run this year and last year border on the most dominant one-man performances of all time. Guess what. When you make claims like that, you're comparing him to Jordan. And I'm sorry, but he has been a very good playoff performer, but we haven't seen Jordan-esque until this playoff series against Indiana.

You're basically trying to claim that I'm irrational because I won't compare him to the greatest athlete of all time in ANY sport.

No, he hasn't. Last game was one hell of a show. It doesn't compare to LeBron against Detroit years ago. It doesn't compare to MJ's 63 points against Cleveland. ****, Bill Russell had 40 rebounds in a single game and John Stockton had 23 assists in one game. What LeBron did last night was unbelievable, but you are putting that up in history against some out of this world performances.

And yes, I have acknowledged that he's passed Kobe at this point, but he's still not Jordan. Cue KC Connection saying this is disrespectful to LeBron.

Bosh is like Rashard Lewis but Rashard was a little less of a pussy inside and was more lethal from outside. Fair comparison?

Last night, he decided he was going to take over. His pissed off speech to his teammates was the wake up call the heat needed but one we aren't worth seeing.

If lebron keeps going with what we saw in game 5, he will be Jordan. If he
Plays as he has the rest of the series, he will have had a great playoff performance that wasn't quite Jordan.
The thing about Lebron is that he might have the highest "basketball IQ" of anybody that has ever played. He's not shooting every time simply because he has a much better chance of winning if he makes the right play. I love how everybody pretends jordan didn't do the same thing. Nobody remembers the Steve Kerr or John Paxson shots, now? The difference is, for all the talk of "in my day we dribbled uphill both ways, the d was so tough" the defenses now are far more advanced. And lebron carves them up with surgical precision using any and all the resources he has available like no one else.

Still, I agree this isn't one of his greatest postseason runs. 48 Special. Elite Detroit defense. On the road. ****ing Sasha Pavlovic and larry hughes as his teammates. Greatest playoff performance ever, bar none.

what games were you watching last two years? lebron over deng in the chicago series 2 years ago, like 10 straight points to blow open a tie game to close out boston 2 years ago. those are just off the top of my head. Lebron's been the "closer" for some time now.

As for the jordan comparisons, lebron averaged 38,9, and 9 in a 6 game series against orlando - the best defensive team in the league. Not exactly a slouch

Don't even play this game. When the game was on the line late, it was Jordan's team and Jordan's rules. Look at the 2012 Heat playoff run and tell me how many shots LeBron took in close games and how many times he passed up a one-on-one opportunity to dish it out to a role shooter. Wade was the closer in 2010. He was pretty much the closer in 2011. This is the first playoffs where LeBron has taken clear charge of that role. Again, it may be a complete career shift for him but we need to see this LeBron more often. The Pacers series he is attacking late in games the way you want him to.

If you're going to compare him to MJ, you can't claim that having high basketball IQ is good enough late in games. Late in games, you want it in the hands of a special talent and you want that guy to take control of the game, not to be the distributor.

Just to be a dick, MJ's 63 were against boston in double ot, I believe, and they lost. Lebron's 45 against boston last year came in about 3 quarters in an elimination game.

I agree with you though, last night's game was nice, but not, "holy shit, I was eating cheetos in the living room at 8:45 when it happened" nice
