I've had two major eye surgeries to save my sight. In June of 2002 and May of 2004 I suffered detached retinas. The first time in my right eye and the second time two tears in my left eye.

Both needed IMMEDIATE surgery to repair them. I was in the operating room within 24 hours both times.

Each eye has a scleral buckle around it and they injected gas into each eye after surgery to help the retina adhere back to it's normal position.

I suffer from a large amount of floaters and specs swimming in my eye.

My eyesight is horrible without contacts or glasses.

Be thankful of your sight!

When I was two years old I developed Cataract's in both eyes and had to have several operations to have removed. I'm pretty much completely blind in my left eye and suffer from Glaucoma. I had the lasik surgery done on my right eye about 12 years ago and that has worked out pretty good. Still need glasses to read and watch t.v though.

Oh, I see. It's not a matter of need. I could eat blind and in the dark, I suppose. It's a matter of liking to see what I'm eating. For some reason, I can see my food better without glasses. I don't like to eat in dim light too much either for the same reason.

I've had 20/10 vision all my life, but starting to have to hold fine print a little farther away as I get older. Eyeball Doc says I'll eventually need reading glasses. I'm kind of looking forward to looking at people skeptically over the top of my glasses.
