FYI, there's a flash sale going on right now...Civ V Gold Edition for 75% off, and Brave New World for 33% off. If you buy both, it comes out to just a bit over $30. I didn't own any of it before, and now I own it all!

Maybe if you're willing to wait a while. Today is the release day for the expansion in a lot of places internationally, so I don't imagine that they'll reduce the price beyond what they are right now for quite some time.

Has anybody tried playing Endless Space? I just started and read through the tutorial - seems like a Civ Lite in space. Pretty intriguing, TBH.

I've gotten a bit further in Brave New World. Being able to Send a Spy to another Civ as a Diplomat is a great idea.
Finally had two Civs team up to DoW on me. Arabia brought a good amount of units, and it seemed like they went after my Luxuries, took an unhappiness hit for a few turns till I could get a worker to fix the tile. I am second in score, but getting my butt kicked in culture by a few Civs. Chine is cranking out the tourism and has a lot of the wonders. I will have to conquer them soon. I have produced a few great Works. (Writing, Music, and Painting). I'm enjoying this new aspect.

Founded an ideology for the first time.
There are a lot of different traits to choose from. And the unhappiness hit you take if a different ideology is winning the culture war can me massive. I am taking a -14 happiness for having freedom instead of France's Order.

Better up that culture!
I'm playing as Venice right now. A little OP, I think. Merchant of Venice is insane, and double trade routes have me rolling in gold (500 per turn). |

I was a little afraid to play as Venice. Never was a fan of the one City challenge, though you can puppet, correct? I might try them on a quick game.

I finished a game with Venice the other day and won a culture victory, but looking back, I think I did it wrong. I ultimately puppeted every single city-state, and while having all of the extra resources was nice, there was the disadvantage of not being able to have their votes when the world leader vote swung around. Given how much gold the Venetians can pull, buying their delegates would have been pretty easy.

Well, now it is. I already saw Civ V Gold go on sale again for a short period, and I'm thinking that there's a chance BNW will go on sale again too before Steam's event ends. You'll just have to keep your eyes peeled.

There's no chance. It was a mistake. Steam sent an apology to everyone that bought BNW and gave us all a copy of Civ IV as an apology.
