IMO it had no real imagination and nothing at stake since you don't give a shit about the characters. I didn't care for Saw, but Insidious was MUCH worse. That said, this looks scary. I've just been burned before. |

Looks creepy as hell.
I'm not a big fan of horror because they aren't scary. This looks scary. |

I feel you. you ARE a fan of scary movies....but just the ones that are ACTUALLY scary! it's like going to see a comedy that doesn't make you laugh. most horror movies these days just suck.

Saw the trailer with my wife, saw that it takes place in our tiny state. My first thought was, "Cool, I wonder if the house is still standing, I'd love to go visit."

Getting 85% by critics, 90% by audiences now.
I just got back from seeing it, and it's really one of the best horror flicks I've seen in a long, long time. It's got a definite The Exorcist vibe to it, slow burn, leading up to the climax, which doesn't disappoint. |

My wife and I saw this tonight and we both thought it was pretty good. I thought it was the best horror movie I've seen in a while. Not bad.

Just saw it today with the wife. One of the better horror movies to come out in awhile.
Did not rely on what I call "BOO!!" scares, built tension and suspense. CGI was not overused and hat tips to other "classic" horror movies in the same genre. I recommend this movie.
