ADT home security systems.
Does anyone have an ADT system. If so, are you happy with what you have, and do you think its worth the $40+ bucks a month. I am trying to figure out if I want to go with ADT or have another company come in and take over monitoring. ADT is $42.99 a month and you have to sign a 3 year contract. I can go with another monitoring company that is smaller, but charges $20 per month. If ADT is awesome, I will stay with them, but if they aren't all that great I will go with company B and save the $200 a year.

We have ADT. I also have a 45 in my nightstand and a12 gauge in my closet. Between the two ADT can **** off.

seriously guys, if you already have the equipment, go trough Alarm Replay for the monitoring. Still a UL listed monitoring center, still get the same insurance discount, etc.

They can help you unlock most equipment.

I don't have it for the break-ins so much as I like the monitoring of my smoke alarms for fire. The siren to alert you if someone breaks in while your home is a plus, as there have been more and more home invasions, but I assume that if we're not home and someone breaks in, we aren't slowing anyone down.

Good point. Ours is hooked into our sprinkler system/smoke alarm. That's worth more to me than the burglar thing.
