It was all pretty obvious...

Alex Smith didn't make any mistakes - but didn't make many plays either.

Jamaal Charles is this offense - Knile Davis may grow into a situational guy but no way I see him stepping up.

Our interior O-Line is pudding soft on way too many plays.

We suck at picking up blitzes.

Our defense, on the hand, was surprisingly good -- regardless of who they were playing against. Outside of a busted rushing play on the first snap and two QB scrambles, they went to the 2-minute warning giving up only 22 yards on 23 plays. Now they have to stop the busted stuff.

Special teams is very good.

I still don't like our secondary. Flowers got burned against the Saints but the receiver dropped the ball and tonight Dunta got burned on a TD pass that Kaepernick overthrew.

They played 1 series against the Saints and only 1 series against the 49ers starters. I want to see more.

Honestly? No, and yes, one, but it was tipped away by an LB. Trent Green says that Bowe messed up by turning up field, or whatever. Either way it was ugly.

The oline was absolutely awful, but Alex got away a couple times, and didn't know what the hell to do with the ball. A couple drops including one REALLY bad one by Baldwin hurt as well.

It was about the amount you could expect most NFL QBs to have. Bowe got one target and it was batted away. Smith was the checkdown king tonight. I didn't see a pass go for much more than 5 yards in the air from any QB in red.
