True... Cassel would only lock in on Bowe, but at least that counts for attempting to throw the ball downfield to a WR (of course attempting rarely led to successful execution).

I think the Chiefs had that experience for a drive or two with Kyle Orton in the Green Bay game two years ago, but otherwise nothing consistently since Trent Green.

People would say "He's not a down the field guy." Or "We don't have a down the field offense." WTF does that even mean?

It's football. You throw the ball to whoever's open. It's that simple.

If the guy that's open is 20 yards down the field, you throw it to him.
