Its so hard for me to accept this logic that says playing Smith for a year or two equals non-growth or even complete futility.

No one can know how it pans out, but the expectation among most is a wild card this year, and a very deep - who knows how deep, Smythe WAS on the doorstep veeery recently - run next year... all of which is very possible, particularly next year when getting some real solid depth and filling in a few glaring holes happens.

Start winning NOW, build a winning culture and give Axl's successor a swaggering, complete team to lead... not throwing a rookie out there and IMO wasting the next two years of our core talent.

Neither Geno, nor any other rookie this year is could've taken the Chiefs to the big game this year or next, that may just be my opinion but its also just common sense... the Raper did it that early, but only because he had a full team at the ready.

If Bray is fools gold, I have no doubt "keep firing" Reid and Dorsey wont hesitate to keep looking at every turn... this is no longer the pioli arrogant stubborn**** show.

You have to keep firing, that's just how it works.
