I knew it would be either you or Dave to bring it up. I figured since it was in the OP FMB would be mature enough not say anything. How does it feel to be on Daves level? Lonely down there huh.

Don't cook corn on the cob directly on the grill.
Shuck the corn, spread softened butter on the corn, season with salt and pepper, wrap in foil and then grill it. |

Marinate a tougher cut of steak (flank/skirt) in Italian dressing in a gallon bag for 3-5 hours. Cross cut with a knife about every 1/4 inch about an 1/8 inch deep on both sides before you put it in. The acid in the dressing will make any steak's texture like filet mignon by breaking down the protein.

Soak your corn in the husk in water for 4-6 hours, then grill in the husk. Apply butter/salt/pepper after cooking. If you really want to cook in butter, peel back the husk, apply butter, and cover it back up with the husk.

I like the foil method better. The husk doesn't do shit imo. I've had it both ways (no homo)

I eat my corn on the cob raw—no butter. No butter when cooked too. Butter hides the taste of the corn to me. I want true corn flavor.

It depends on the dish. Spaghetti is better from dried, but something like fettucini alfredo or lasagna or ravioli needs fresh for the proper texture. |
