it's 6 PTs for all TDs? Go with Rodgers. Think about it...MJD is good for what...like 14 TDs? Rodgers is going to throw for over 30. That's double the points for TDs.

Exactly. It's a smart business decision. Cause all you gotta do is get to the playoffs, once you're there, you will have the players to win and you don't have to worry about Bye weeks.

It's safe to say all of the top 14 QB's will throw for more than 14 TDs. For me it's more a question of the difference in fantasy points between the top QB to 14th QB as opposed to the top RB to 14th RB.

I'd highly consider rodgers. that's just me, though, and I haven't played FF in a long while.

If I had to pick today my list would be...
1. Rodgers 2. MJD 3. Rice 4. Brees Should I even bother looking at the ff playoff weeks (14-16) for matchups? That's what screwed me over in last years playoffs. I was stuck playing a guy who had Rice go off for 40 plus points against some shit ass run defense. |

Funny thing is.
Last year I won my league. My opening day roster was TOTALLY different from the roster I had when I won the Championship. It comes down to staying active and knowing when a waiver wire guy is about to break out ala Miles Austin. I picked up Austin the week he played the Chiefs. I traded for Jamaal Charles the week before he started his first game. Just stay active and you will do good. |

I'd still go RB/QB. Your QB in round 2 will be better than your RB in round 2. A lot of it though just depends on your league. I've won my primary (12 team league) more than any other 2 owners combined over the years, but a lot of that has to do with me understanding the other owners. Who likes what team, who always reaches, who always takes a D too early.....they don't know that I have a really good memory |

That's a huge advantage. One of my buddies is a huge Eagles homer and he ended up with the 13th pick this year. I already know he's going to go with D. Jackson and then probably McNabb with his second round pick. I make fun of him every year and yet last year he won the whole damn league!!!

yes...and we also only have to start 1 RB. Our flex can be a 2nd RB, 3rd WR, or a 2nd TE.
I think it's going to be extremely difficult to find three quality WRs this year...especially in a ppr league. Last year I went RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, QB and did pretty good. I'm definitely holding off on a TE this year as there are more quality TEs than ever before. on a side note...the only time I've ever won one of my fantasy football leagues was when I took Payton Manning in the middle of the first round a few years ago. |

PPR plus only 1 mandatory RB start = draft Rice/MJD. Preferably Rice, but I imagine he goes at 3. In a PPR format, I'd consider Rice over AP/AD. You'd be at a severe disadvantage rolling out a R2 RB.
Btw, you didn't go to the '03 Bills game by any chance? We sat next to a couple of guys from Quebec that got my gf at the time drunk on cognac . |
