I listened to Sublime this morning on the way to work.

I always laugh at "Date Rape;" it'll be stuck in my head all day.

Remember in the 70s those Dickie Goodman parodies, where he'd insert snippets from popular songs into his routines? I know, lame now, but I thought they were funny when I was a kid:

Goodman: We've just sighted the shark again. He's coming straight for us! Captain Quint is shouting something at him!

Quint: Getcha baby, one of these nights (from the Eagles' "One Of These Nights")

Ha, I still have the Jaws and King Kong 45's somewhere. They were great.

Pinacoladaburg by Coconut Pete (Bill Paxton), from the movie Club Dread. It's basiacally a parody of Margarittaville by Buffet. Actually, all the songs by Coconut Pete from that movie are quite funny. They used to be available on the website for the movie, but I cannot locate them anymore.

don't know if Tenacious D has been mentioned yet ... but F*** her gently and The Tribute are two of the funniest songs I've heard...

And of course Weird Al... my favorite lines from some of his songs:

Remember those well,hell I liked them so much I made a 90 minute tape just like them in college based on all true stuff that had happened to my frat brothers and myself.It was a great hit at parties.

Yep,they made a video to that song,remember the refrigerator door opening to show a live poodle standing on the top shelf.

My 9 yr old boy would love that.....to tease his 5 yr old and 3 yr old sisters with (who love Elmo)
