Draft day is the one of the most exciting days for me, I am a big draft junkie. I will look forward to the Chiefs pick, but I like seeing the rest of the picks too. It will be a sweet present to get Patrick Surtain and Thomas Davis in a span of 48 hours.

Bell, Knight and Surtain are only 3 pieces to a still incomplete puzzle.
We still need a Will, a nickel, and another DE. We probably can't get all of them tomorrow, but Carl has to make good selections, and decisions still. No this draft isn't anticlimatic. The right decisions can still really make this a solid D.

if not, sapp may be adequate... if not, i'd guess maybe a lower round cb... unless carlos rodgers is there at 15, then it's a hard decision between him and davis... i'd be surprised to see us take a de with #15, but anything is possible... and most of what i read says there is no first round lb other than johnson... the will is the big problem, imo... we can (and may have to) live with our existing cb's for the nickel, and carlos whatshisname (hall, is it?) might turn out to be our only addition to de, but i don't see anybody to take the wslb spot... |

And if DJ, Thomas Davis or Carlos Rogers are there at #15, then taking them is a virtual no brainer. But I still like the idea of a tradedown scenario that gives us a chance to land any combination of Marlin Jackson, Cory Webster, Daryl Blackstock, Barrett Ruud and Kevin Burnett.

Come on Jim, cheer up. Given CPs past history, he's got to screw up some of his picks. What good is a draft without blowing a few gaskets.
