I think part of it may be that they dont want to get locked into a long term deal on a RB that will be 28 before the sart of the season.
Still it seems like they could sign him to a deal that would be cap friendly to cut him after 2-3 yrs into it and still get him the signing bonus he wants. This whole deal with Alexander seems to fit right into the WTF are they doing feel Sea has. |

Alexander is a much better RB than Hasselbeck is a QB but they signed him to a long term deal.......I don't get it The only thing Hasselbeck has been consistent at is bad. He is only a medicore QB in the NFL and Alexander is a T.D. machine. WTF is wrong with Holmgren anyways???
Now that I'm thinking about it does this go back to the final game last season when Alexander could have had the rushing title and they didn't give him the ball on the last drive nearly as much as they could have?

If we come to think of it now, aren't some of you happy that we didn't get Alexander?
I'd rather have Holmes too be honest. Had the Chiefs got Alexander, we woulda never seen those 27 TDs, and those consistent 1500yd seasons from Holmes and so forth. I'm happy the way that panned out. On the other hand, I'm terribly disappointed that we selected Bartee in the 2nd rd |
