Hypothetical: Trading the 1.1 and Albert to the Eagles...

The Eagles apparently LOVE Geno. They want him so much that the entire FO, including the owner worked him out.

The Eagles also have some major problems with their O-line. It, along with the DBs were a huge part of their problem last year. Some say that their O-line might bounce back this year, but Peters blew out his Achilles twice. On a man that big, that doesn't bode well for the future. Albert is a proven player.

Assuming that the Chiefs are going to trade down this year, and it is a pretty safe assumption that they will try, and assuming that Albert is indeed on the market, what would it take for you to pull the trigger on a trade with the Eagles that would send our 1.1 and Albert to Philly?

Philly has pretty high picks this year, and lets face it, they will, in all likelihood have high picks next year.

they cant take on both Albert and Peters and theres no point in trading for Albert on a year franchise tag

they have no room for Albert no matter how you cut it.
Peters blew out his Achilles twice. Their O-line sucks. They have tons of cap room.

Why should this be a package trade? For the first alone they'd have to give us extra picks. A trade involving Albert will be a separate entity, with ANY team.

This is an impossible scenario, basically, but my answer is their whole draft and at least their first two picks from next year. At least.

Not saying it would happen.....
Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of trading for second-round picks. I'd rather take a 1st that's further down the road than a 2nd now. It doesn't seem like a lot of stars emerge from the second round.

I realize why it doesn't happen since execs have to keep their jobs in the short term, but it seems like a franchise with a long-term perspective should constantly trade their 2nd and 3rd round picks for 1st round picks that are five years down the road or whatever. In the long run, I bet it would make the franchise better.
