Go on a Cruise and don't listen to people who don't like them. I've always had fun whenever I go on a cruise. Viking cruises are fun but might not be kid friendly(?)
Maybe a Disney Cruise. I had a friend bring their young kid last time on Carnival and they were able to drop the kid off to babysitters during the day. It was a Dr. Seuss daycare. |

I guess that's a good point on the Viking cruise I was basically drunk 24/7. All the German beers and wine for free breakfast lunch and dinner. What's that? We're touring an abbey from the 10th century that brews apricot wine and their own beer and it's complimentary?
I'm surprised I remember that place. |

I heard of an excellent cruise on the Danube as well, though maybe it was on here also!
The other one I heard of that got rave reviews, and sounded awesome, was a cruise around the Baltic Sea. I don't remember where it went, other than St. Petersburg, but it sounded truly awesome. That would definitely be something to do in warmer months. Just quick Googling found these: https://www.vikingcruises.com/oceans...FcG2swodzsUJQg

I was about to recommend the Danube River cruise as well. Can't go wrong, lots of great cities.

If you and the Mis want to have fun as well I may recommend the Carnival Vista. It's their newest ship and may offer you a balance of adult fun yet very kid friendly. Disney cruise may be to kid focused but I've never been on one.

River cruise is the way to go but as you mentioned, not with a 2 year old. My STRONG suggestion would be to leave the kid with grandparents and take a river cruise, 2 year olds aren't forming any meaningful memories so it's really just a waste of money and effort. But if that isn't an option, you might want to look at a Baltic cruise. Something different and one of the only ways to visit Russia without having to go through the full visa process.
