1. Xavier S'ua-Filo, OL; UCLA
2. Donte Moncrief, WR; Ole Miss 4. Dontae Johnson, DB; North Carolina State 5. Ryan Carrethers, DT; Arkansas State 6. Tyler Gaffney, RB; Stanford 6. Trevor Reilly, LB; Utah Thank ****ing God John Dorsey runs this team and not Sac. Here's what we got on day 1 of the draft. We got a ****ing guard and a WR that drops passes. Yay! Meanwhile, our pass rush still struggles just like last year and we don't have a real CB to replace Flowers or add to the position. Dontae Johnson has 8 5/8 inch baby hands and can't tackle in space. Amazing that Sac is pissed off at Donnie Avery for dropping passes and Phillip Gaines for struggling with tackling but yet the players he wanted to draft have the same ****ing problems. Unbelievable.

Reilly is 26 years old already and would not be the answer to replace Hali like Ford is. |

I can think of almost a dozen other players that should have been taken by us before we took that kid from UCLA. |

We upgraded. Was tired of seeing McCluster be the small, kind of shifty, and slow guy on the team. At least Thomas is actually explosive and has world class speed with great football instincts on top of that.

Sac said that Thomas and McCluster had the same production in college.

People around here act as though the Chiefs and the GM of the Chiefs are the only people that know anything about how a college prospect might transition to pros. Well, those people get it wrong far more often than they get it right. In the end will I personally have a shred of an effect on whether or not the Kansas City Chiefs draft a particular player? No. Will the Chiefs get some picks right that I think they won't? Yes. But here is what I do know on my own personal level, I've gotten more players right than Kansas City has over the years. If you want a testament to my past, ask Sfeich, he knows. My assessment stands at this point. Ford was a huge reach. Gaines was a value. Thomas is a McCluster clone. Murray was a solid pick for a 5th rounder, and was a good pick given they need to unload Daniels soon. The Chiefs made solid picks at O-line for it being the 6th round and there is a good chance they could hit on one, but likely not both. If I had to pick the one, it'll be Duvernay-Tardif. Perhaps I'll be proven wrong on some of those assessments, and I'm okay with that. Studying humans is imperfect science. I remain extremely displeased that KC did not adequately address the receiver position in a draft loaded with receivers. Thomas is a gadget player and special teamer in my book, and KC does not have an adequate #2 receiver. A guy, even like Devin Street, would have been good value in round 4. |

So when Ford puts up 6 to 10 sacks this year-will people stop calling him a "Reach" pick?
