Yes, Genghis Khan is the most interesting to me as well. Greatest conqueror even, and it really isn't even close. Pretty amazing character, who had an unbelievably stunningly huge influence on human history.

I went to Da Vinci's house/museum - the place where he spent his final years and died - in France (CLos Luce) and it was totally cool. If youre ever in France its worth a journey to check it out. Lots of models (large scale) of his inventions.
