Out of curiosity, does anyone know which team is the smallest fanbase in the NFL?
I'm leaning towards New Orleans or Arizona. Could be a surprise like Jacksonville or something like that too

Green Bay, actually is so close to Milwaukee it might have greater numbers than KC if view metro areas. But definite not the Patriots, as already mentioned Foxboro is a Boston burb. I think Carolina's market has to be pretty small.

What exactly is a "fan base"? How do you measure that? If you are talking season ticketholders... that's pretty easy to determine. And in that case, it's *has* to be New Orleans (zero tickets).

If you try to estimate it using near-by local population, then you certainly couldn't consider the Cardinals among the smallest. They are a top 10 city.

Not in the same way. In San Diego they have one .500 season and they will have no sellouts the next year and half the season ticket holders will not renew. Bandwagoneer is barely adequate to describe them.

But to be fair there are so many entertainments here that pull away people unless the Chargers are winning, the beach, mountains, ski resorts, desert, 100s of movie screens, plays, opera, golf and tennis all year round, deep sea fishing, diving, surfing gambling casinos on the local indian reservations, there is no end to all the entertainment with 45 minutes drive from anywhere in San Diego
