Anyone here try the Vibram Five Finger [Toed] Shoes, yet?
I got a pair for Christmas, well a couple days before Christmas... and they are by far, the most comfortable shoe that I've ever worn.
I have flat feet, and so standing properly in shoes has always been a challenge... but the way these shoes are constructed, my feet are perfectly in the right place, for like the first time ever. http://www.vibramfivefingers.com/index.htm Quote:

I had a pair for a while, but I'm between sizes, and they gave me massively uncomfortable blisters in between my toes on the soles of my feet.
I liked them, but couldn't deal with that. |

I think each pair fits a bit different. On one pair that i got, that I am returning... my right little toe doesn't fit it well... my other pair, the Bikila, fits amazing.

There are 33 bones in the foot. These shoes have pads and treads that help optimize each area of the foot for optimal walking, balance and posture. Plus, they help strengthen your metatarsal arch. |

It seems like the separate toe structure could be an internal design of the shoe, so that it would otherwise look like a regular shoe. Which would look much more socially acceptable.

I think the point of shoes is that people like this WANT to look different. I mean really, what good is different and progressive if you aren't able to show off to everybody how different and progressive you are?

Super trendy and completely reeruned. Crocs version 2.0, but hey looking ridiculous doesn't matter as long as you're on the cutting edge of every new fashion trend. Just ask all the sheeple air-headed teenage girls wearing stupid looking $200 Ugg boots because some idiot celebrity got paid to wear them ten years ago.

Maybe there's a functional reason, but even if not I think it's a good brand differentiation. Until of course the Chinese start doing illegal knockoffs of it and drive them out of business by stealing their intellectual property.
