Chris Hoke is a better option with less risk. Sure, he's older, but that also means we can get him much cheaper and for a shorter term.

Give him a 2 year deal to hold down the fort until (hopefully) the dyslexic biggun from Ole Miss can take over.

Michael Bush
Tyson Clabo
Chris Hoke


But since it's highly unlikely we dive into the deep end of the FA pool, I'm not holding my breath for any of them except Hoke. He'd be a really good fit here, IMO.

I think we get Breaston instead of Smith and IIRC Bush will be a RFA.

Yeah, I'm hearing conflicting info on Bush. We're really just guessing on a lot of these guys being available until we get a new CBA.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. In prior years, FA's didn't make sense for a team trying to win more than 4 games. Now that we have a division title under our belts, it's time to "Make the Run".

It's not Pioli's style. This organization has been building through the draft these last few years and so far have done a good job. I can't picture Pioli running out and dropping big bucks. He'll spend some money on mid-tier F/A's like Bush or Breaston...but he sure as hell won't go on a spending spree.
