I have to say, I am normally against picking through other teams garbage, but I think Locker can be salvaged and would even be a good fit for Andy Reid. Now, I haven't like, broken down his film from this year, but he seemed to play pretty well this year. Thoughts? assume this does not preclude the Chiefs from investing in a QB in the draft, as well.

That's the past. Neither has been anywhere near worthy of that praise this year.

You're out of your mind.

Smith is a very solid QB that fits this system extremely well. He's only 29, in his prime and had solid production, especially when the rest of the offense started to jell.

Add to that he was working with two guys off the street at the TE position for a lot of the year, some bad play at both OT and OG and a very below average WR group as a whole.

I think Smith had a very solid year all things considered and will most likely get the chance to build and increase on his numbers next season as the offense and coaching staff become even more integrated.

For what Reid runs, I'm not sure that there are more than a handful of QB's that I'd take over Smith at this point.

That's not ballwashing by any measure. It's called being objective.

Not really disagreeing with you at all.

But, in fairness saying that Alex Smith played better than Flacco, or Eli, is more talking about how SHITTY they played this year, more so rather how WELL alex smith played.

He played okay.

He set career highs, but still, he went a month without a td pass.

But, hes not the dog shit you want to portray him to be.
