Is Albert Wilson... good now!?!?

Tonight's big catch was huge and hugely impressive, but Albert Wilson has been doing little things right all season. This is surprising, considering he has been, uh, not very good at football for most of his career to this point.

He's clearly not as good as the Holy Trinity, and he's probably still the 3rd best WR behind Conley, but... is Albert friggin' Wilson actually good now!?!?

He's fine for what he is asked to do in this offense. That was a big play late from him, but he saved the game with the "reception" off of Kelce's helmet. That's a pick for sure.

Really? It looked to me as if West missed the block, was just getting to the safety and when Wilson got there, the safety just pushed West aside and made the stick!

Wilson has his moments but he’s not great. He made plays tonight but nobody really worries about Wilson. We have more explosive WRs on the roster that just need a shot. Connelly needs the ball in his hands more. He’s almost invisible.

Conley can basically only run go routes. He's the same as he was at UGA. He never gets better as a route runner or at catching the ball. He's a #4 WR.

He's just doing what he is asked. He can't force Alex to throw him the ball.
Now, if he starts dropping passes then eff him right out the door.

Paylor mentioned last year that Wilson does not track the ball well so he does not make good deep adjustments a la Hill.

Makes him a poor over-the-shoulder receiver. So they no longer use him that way. Even last year, he was making plays and did not have the alligator arms. We saw some in pre-season, and I expected to see more.

But he has been solid in regular season. Even dependable.

But you notice the double -clutch reception on the sideline was an over -the-shoulder. Just never gonna be his forte.

Demetrius Harris has taken the torch from Wilson (and proceeded to drop it and commit an untimely penalty).

I think most of the criticism has been for dropping the balls he should have caught. That would seem to be a mental thing that would build with every dropped ball.

Maybe he has his confidence back? Both Conely and Wilson have stepped up this year. We are not missing Maclin at all.

Even though Maclin was overall a disappointment here (largely due to injuries), I was definitely concerned about losing him. He's a solid, reliable pro when he's healthy. But thanks to the primary playmakers and the secondary support from Conley and Wilson, I truly haven't thought about Maclin until now.

Albert Wilson has always been a player worth having. His critics focus on the few plays where he did not dive for a ball to make a catch. As if a player lacking that one skill does not have all of the other skills that make him a contributor.

Chiefs are fortunate that they judge a player based on what they can do and not what they can't. You could get a lot of Division III WRs who can make a diving catch and run a 4.8 forty and can't play STs or block downfield from the WR position on a long TD play.

You could tell Reid loves Albert Wilson and that he sees he does his work in the weight room and on the practice field and he is a great athlete.

Albert Wilson is going to be on an NFL roster for as long as he stays healthy, in spite of the armchair GMs, who care so much about a few plays where he does not dive to catch a poorly thrown pass.

He's always been decent as a guy with a good nose for where the chains are. Ive seen him pick up many 1st downs after Alex threw him the ball well short. So hes picked up his game a little but he'll never be a threat or anything inside the RZ.
