-- Beans - the past due thread.
Hi,
I'd like to know what beans you enjoy? How you make them? What side-items you include. Condiments atop their finished product. Just go on and on for months about nothing but beans, here. I love beans and they're super healthy, affordable and act as a virtual meat. Anyone ever use ham base? Anyhow - go on about your bean preferences! Today I'm fixing Great Northerns and Pintos / Medley - Ham hock as well All About Beans The Ham Loaf guy's procedure has been embedded below - as has a bean/Legume chart for reference (though incomplete) Last edited by Simply Red; 03-03-2018 at 01:15 PM.. |

I like Italian soups so Cannellini beans both dry and canned are always handy.
I made veggie chili using a bean mix from Bob's Red Mill and after leftovers are frozen they make a great topping for rice or pasta.

Oh yeah? That looks good! The guy doing the review seems okay - I didn't think his review was fair though - I'd never seen him before. |

Great thread idea. One way I like beans:
Dry pinto beans Onion Vegetable bouillon Bay leaves Salt Throw it all into the Instant Pot with a little bit of oil. An hour later they're good to go. Serve with cornbread and honey.

Chinese fermented black beans are great too. Try then in a tofu stir-fry.
