I got a couple T-Bones at Apple Market for $6 each. They were reduced for "quick sale" as their final sale date was the day I bought them. Take em home, put em in the freezer, they'll be fine for a nice summer day. Apple Market has a really good butcher. Just as good as Price Chopper or Hy-Vee, and usually a lot less expensive. Good beef and pork.

Oh and I agree on the "tubes" of ground beef. You can buy 80/20 in a tube and cut your own patties real quick.

$117 for a ground beef bundle that weighs 33lbs at Yoder Meats.
Otherwise just go for the frozen patties from Sam's. |

For kids 1/4lb frozen patties would do just fine. On a outdoor grill frozen patties can be hit or miss though at any weight. Will probably come out with a 3oz. patty after cooked which would work well for a kid. But if it were adults, I would make sure to have 1/3lb patties to limit people coming back for a 2nd burger.

A half assed(meaning lacking onions, garlic, and pepper) boston burger wouldn't be bad. I would however use 73/27 beef with the ground pork rather than 90/10.
