Deon Yelder!!

I'm surprised he's barely been talked about tbh. Sunday was the first time he caught passes in the NFL and imo those two catches were very good indeed. The fact that Pat had the confidence to target him must also be a big boost for the kid. It's gonna be interesting to see if Andy decides to get him more involved In the next few games.

Halfway thru each year, they simplify and go to a more ZBS and start having more success.

Seriously, watch how many times we try to run this pulling guard, etc, stuff. It doesn't seem to work.
it’s certainly not going to work with Wiley and Reuter pulling. Morse was good at it, though.

It's one thing to have them pull and get out in front of screens and such, but you've got smaller athletic OL, so just let them zone everyone up.

Injuries always hit hard it seems in today's NFL your lucky to get 3 games in a row with a healthy line. It seems always with Andy we are juggling people around making street signings. It comes back to simplifying reducing the playbook etc. till health returns. I admire old school o lines Dallas puts on the field. Big ugly fat maulers. If I had my choice though I would do like Indy did those guy are gonna be the best soon and for a long time.

Yeah, the big maulers that are like that are fun. I don't have a problem with it, but when you look at how those teams built those lines, it's a lot of early picks and big contracts.

Chiefs need to do that at G or C probably soon though.

The Cowboys' line is incredible. Due to that, and their very strong skill position players and defense, they're going to be really tough to beat in the NFC.

Watching that clip, what in the world was Bosa thinking. He actually had played it perfectly, initially. Was sucking up a double-team (Yelder and Schwartz), was plugging the gap, but then he stops moving and tries to "throw" Yelder off... essentially allowing Yelder to transition to the next level AND letting Schwartz seal him to give Shady a nice lane behind Yelder. That was just a terrible decision when he was playing it perfectly then essentially handed KC a TD by stopping his flow with the ball.

They're 6-4 with wins over the Giants, Redskins, Dolphins, Eagles, Giants and Staffordless Lions.

They lost to the Jets.

They have a single quality win and a really shitty loss. They're not 'really tough to beat' - several teams have already done it.

Seems an odd team to crown.

Funny how that works, isn't it?

Our guys cut their own throats by trying to do WAY too much all the time. And they aren't anywhere near the raw talents of Joey Bosa. If a guy as talented as Joey Bosa can blow up a defense by being greedy, then it demonstrates pretty loudly to the guys on OUR DL that maybe they should just play the damn scheme and let their teammates do their jobs.

You contrast that with the Chiefs on the 12ish when Clark/Sorensen/Hitchens and Speaks all did their job in completely hammering the same kind of run and you see really quickly how important team defense is.

The talent on the Cowboys is off the charts compared to their W/L... #1 YPG Offense and #7 YPG Defense... They commit turnovers, Special Teams is terrible, and their Coaching staff are monkeys. Regardless of all that they are talented, and would be a tough opponent. 3 of their 4 losses were by 4 pts or less.

I think he thought Shady was gonna jump inside. If you look, when he tries to disengage was when Shady stutter stepped a bit.
