I don't think KU fans need to take this personally. Obviously with the very close ties to your AD that we all have been hearing about, if this were the case then he would have considered KU instead of jumping at the Washington State job so fast.

Kansas has more bowls, more pro football hall of famers, more BCS victories, a higher all time winning percentage.

That's just off the top of my head.

In all seriousness, why would Leach wanna come here if he isn't shown the money? I don't care what people say, I've watched this team every week, they have hardly no talent. I know that's not totally the reason to come but come on...you wanna at least hit the ground running. He probably saw the roster and was like, "This Gill guy filled the roster with reeruns, no thanks."

Right here is all you needed to know leach wasn't gonna come to KU.

Athan’s ability to get everything exactly WRONG is kind of amazing. I mean, anyone can get hits and misses here and there, but to be wrong every single time is something to marvel at.

I actually figured on #2 as the biggest reason.

Make a bowl at Kansas, hell go ahead and win an Orange Bowl at Kansas, and they'll fire your ass if a couple of pussies get upset about skinned palms during bear-crawls (jesus, who enjoys bearcrawls? Everyone hates those things; we suck it up and do 'em anyway).

Kansas will remain a basketball school, no matter what. They'll give you pretty decent support if you're winning big, but it won't be rabid and they'll turn on you in a heartbeat.

WSU, OTOH, will give you more rope if you can give them just an inkling of success. Give them a lot of success and they'll treat you like a God.

I almost wonder if the Mangino mess wasn't a greater detriment than the Gill one. Gill was a disaster; his firing was justified. Mangino, OTOH, got completely ****ed over. The precedent was set - be colorful and have a bad year, and we'll axe your ass. Leach may not have wanted to walk into that environment.

When was the last time ku was ranked?
