Only one I ever went to was some depressing run down place somewhere outside of Tulsa. Good friend of mine got a job right after college in Tulsa and a group of guys made a weekend trip to visit him. After last call of course a casino sounded like a good idea (?) and we had no clue where to go, so the cabbie took us to one, and it was like they smushed together a couple trailers all together, and the sorriest bunch of people you ever saw. I don't think they even had table games? We stayed for all of about 5 minutes.
I had no clue that Oklahoma had 18+ casinos- I always assumed it was 21+ everywhere ?

Just turned $80 into $600 in Atlantic City last weekend. Hit a full house in 3 card poker then hit a straight on the next hand. Dealer was quickly swapped thereafter.

I'd guess that was probably a coincidence. Dealers can't stay at the table for more than an hour and twenty minutes no matter what. $600 is nothing to a casino.

You'd be surprised. Whenever the pit boss feels luck is on the players side at a table they switch the dealers. I've seen it happen a thousand times.

I still don't see how that helps in a game like 3 card. Burning a card in the middle of a blackjack shoe can change the way the cards are falling, but 3 card is hypothetically a random shuffle every time.

When I was in my early 20's, I had a lot of money from both my job and some real estate investments. I used to go to Atlantic City with as much as $5,000.
I once won $27,000 and the Playboy hotel took real good care of me, including hooking me up with escorts. I also lost $10,000 once and $5,000 several times so in the end, most things balanced out. I also once won $6,500 starting with only $250 playing baccarat at Harvey's in Lake Tahoe at 4 in the morning. I sent $5,000 home with a buddy to give to my Dad and took an extra $1,500 to my vacation in Bora Bora Tahiti. My youth was a lot better than my last 15 years

1. Did the money make it back to your dad? 2. How was Bora Bora? Was it everything I've dreamed of? |

2. Bora Bora was awesome. I was there in 1986 before all the over-the-water fancy hotels. I stayed at a place called the Oa Oa Hotel that was owned by a couple from California. Great food and awesome beach. Diving was incredible with the sharks and octopus all over, Bloody Mary's was really cool, the trip takes forever to get there. The only negative was that the morning of my departure, the space shuttle Challenger exploded and it was a somber trip home.

I was at a business conference and in the packet of info I got a coupon for a roll of quarters at the casino. You had to cash in for a roll and they give you a roll. So....I'm up ten bucks the minute I walk in. Keep in mind this is my first and last time in a casino. My son is a poker dealer for a large casino, but I have zero interest in gambling, except for fantasy football(<- cuz I'm skilled). Anyway, I go to the slots and try to give them back the ten bucks and find out why others are fascinated with slots. I played for about 30 minutes and got bored. I ended up leaving with around 5 bucks to the good. I tried.

A couple of hundred at a casino at most. I once won $2,300 in about 8 hours of work at a private Hold'em game.
