49ers fan here. I was a fan of the team during Alex Smith's years here, so I think I know a thing or two about what he's like and what you can expect.

Blah blah blah smart QB doesn't throw lasers doesn't make dumb decisions mostly accurate in short midrange game blah blah blah

Basically, he's taking over a 2-14 team that has a lot of potential with the players you've acquired over the years. I think you all should be happy with the acquisition, considering the terrible QB play you had to go through last year. He'll look much better by comparison, and maybe in a few years you guys will be back to the playoffs!
