Best players available after Round 1

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...ning-prospects

Can't tell me we aren't going to get a good player at 37.

Now, hopefully it's Alexander or Jack..

He's not as big of a project as some say and unlike most projects, he's NFL ready as a role player.
Maybe.. but I doubt it. It takes time and experience to understand coverages from a WR point of view.. takes time to run the sharp routes that KC wants. How many timeouts will we burn as Alex has to physically move Miller to the right spot?

I do like Miller.. but I think you underestimate how valuable WR refinement is prior to going pro. Some teams may want to give him that time to work on these things while getting little snaps here and there. I feel KC should get someone who can offer more right away.

If we weren't the deepest team in the league at HB I'd risk a 2nd on Booker.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

DUMBASSES !

Elway just nailed the QB position AGAIN !
Huh? Lynch has always been ridiculously overhyped on this board...same guys that do the same thing every year. Denver pissed that pick away because they were desperate.

Do you really think there are many WR's ready to step in to a WCO year one and be productive (700+ yards?)

I'd rather have the best TE in the draft, Hunter Henry, over a prospect like Miller.

He can play a DAT gadget role right away and he will be a lot more dangerous. That's not a difficult role to learn. And he's practiced at punt returner so he can probably do that right away.

At receiver, he's not Anquan boldin. He did play a full year at receiver and he learned it extremely fast. Kid has a good head on his shoulders. Smart and excellent work ethic so he'll learn very fast. I'm sure a former qb will quickly pick uo where the qb wants him to go. Keep in mind that every receiver in Andy reids system will take a year to get it. At least braxton can be a role player right away.

I would argue it's not a need but I did like our 3TE offense two years ago.

Without a true threat opposite Maclin (at WR) we would at least have a more physical presence...

I doubt many are as cerebral as Conley, and that young man only came on after the half way mark...

Well if he's the pick, then I will find encouragement in your post here.

What's the deal with DAT anyway? Sounds like he showed up to work last week.. so he's not dead or a certain goner, right?

Maybe DAT can still play his DAT gadget role.

I can't even imagine the nightmare of defenses having to account for Charles with braxton running the jet sweep. Even off a fake it keeps defenses on their toes. Albert Wilson just can't do it the way DAT did, and I expect DAT won't hold a candle to what braxton can do.

Hard to say. There is general intelligence, and there is football intelligence.

Frank Gore could barely put a coherent sentence together, but was extremely sharp when it came to offensive scheme.

Gadget players are dumb. They never are as effective as everyone thinks they'll be. I'd much rather have a real WR.

Hell, Charles has natural instincts that can't be taught. Solid blocker, solid route runner, not getting in MENSA...
