Riskiest Things You've Ever Said to a Cop?

"Your eyes look pretty red, son... you been smoking dope?"

"Your eyes look pretty glazed, officer... you been eating donuts?"

---

Another time a cop pulled me over and asked me if I was texting... I told him, "No... I was tweeting."

Sometimes you have to follow your calling and do what you're really good at.

It's pretty creepy that we quoted him at the same time. Are you watching me?

That's about the extent of it.

One time on a crowded downtown Columbia, MO street, I yelled at a cop car at the stop light: "Hey Pig, wanna buy some coke?"

I knew the cop.
I went to school with him, and we were good pals.

He didn't think it was funny.

He runs a SWAT team now.

As long as you're not being a dickhead, I try and help you out. Keeping something off your driving record, making you pour your beer out instead of a ticket, making you dump a small amount of weed out, etc. It's those other select few that you want to punch in the throat. That's why some officers lose their cool and go overboard.
And based on this, I would assume that you're actually a good police officer.

How long have you been a cop?

I forgot to mention this instance...

At age 17, I worked at a Pizza Hut in Butler, MO... and it was a Sunday late afternoon/ early evening and we had just ran out of cheese. The nearest PH was in Harrisonville... and the Church crowd was about to arrive in less than an hour. Harrisonville was 30 minutes away.

So, one of my coworker friends and I get into my 1976 Pontiac Firebird and drive to Harrisonville with flashers on, going 100MPH. We get to Harrisonville in 17 minutes.

We get 2 boxes of cheese... get back in the car... put the flashers back on... get up to about 110 MPH... We enter Bates County line... and a cop sees me... and pulls us over. 109 in a 55mph.

The cop, however, was a regular at Pizza Hut. Cops at Butler Pizza Hut get a 75% off of their food...

So, I tell him that "We were out of cheese and the Church crowd is coming... "

He says, "Cheese for Pizzas does not constitute an emergency... but, I understand. You need to slow down though. Want me to escort you back?"

"Sure." So the cop literally turns on his lights... goes about 90 MPH and escorts us back to the Pizza Hut.

No ticket. Swear to God. Couldn't believe it.

Lived in a small town for awhile, Sttate Patrol assisted local sheriff with traffic stops and the such. I was stopped one day and he asked if I knew why?
I replied "no idea"
he said for not wearing seat belt
I replied "Really?"
He said "Yes, Really"
I shrugged gave him my license and stuff and asked "Your State Patrol? Thought you guys went to school and this stuff was beneath you."
He shrugged and issued ticket.
