Im kinda bored and felt a little football fever, so i decided to throw in the dvdr of the 49ers game. Second play of the game, Casey Weigman single blocks Franklin and literally throws him to the ground like a rag doll.

Through two drives, Weigman has owned Franklin nearly every play.Totall washed him out of every running play. Only doubled twice so far.

We are repeatedly running right up the a gaps taking big chunk after big chunk all with Casey single blocking Franklin.
Threw Franklin to the ground again, but got called for holding on the play that went for 25before being called back. Two plays later, threw Franklin to the ground again on a big run. We obviously went into this game thinking that Casey Weigman could win the individual matchup with Franklin without needing much help. End of first quarter and Franklin was only doubled twice and was dominated. First play of second quarter and it's 4th and 1 and Weigman puts Franklin on his ass AGAIN and we pick up the first down on a run. Franklin looks soft as wet pussy so far. 13:00 to go inthe first half and LITERALLY, Franklin has went to the ground more times than he has been able to stay on his feet. Terrible against Weigman in short yardage. Casey is dominating the matchup in every possible way. Last edited by BossChief; 07-20-2011 at 01:44 PM.. |

ya, Franklin isn't even an upgrade over Dorsey at NT and Dorsey isn't good enough.
My FA; Ron Edwards Leo Pope Shaun Smith I really wouldn't mind if they don't sign Smith, but since Boss Chief brought up the 49er game, Smith had a couple big plays in that game from the LDE position. Smith lacks focus, his performances are up and down too much. But I like his attitude. I think the Ron Edwards must die fan club is dumb, I'd like him here another season or two. He's no Hampton/Wilfork, but there are only so many guys that can play that position well. Until the Chiefs find a guy, Edwards is their best option. He's a lot better than Franklin. |

I guess Ron Edwards being better than Franklin is a good start. Uh, no. (and that's coming from someone who has no interest in signing Franklin) |

I think thats how I look at it too and if he doesn't effect us re-signing our own with 35 million to spend whats the down side? Seems like a high reward low risk.
