ya, Franklin isn't even an upgrade over Dorsey at NT and Dorsey isn't good enough.

My FA;

Ron Edwards

Leo Pope

Shaun Smith

I really wouldn't mind if they don't sign Smith, but since Boss Chief brought up the 49er game, Smith had a couple big plays in that game from the LDE position. Smith lacks focus, his performances are up and down too much. But I like his attitude.

I think the Ron Edwards must die fan club is dumb, I'd like him here another season or two. He's no Hampton/Wilfork, but there are only so many guys that can play that position well. Until the Chiefs find a guy, Edwards is their best option. He's a lot better than Franklin.

Where to begin with this post...

I guess Ron Edwards being better than Franklin is a good start.

Uh, no.

(and that's coming from someone who has no interest in signing Franklin)

I know. Insane.

Like I said, I'm really not interested in signing Franklin.

But he's a massive upgrade over Ron Edwards and Dorsey playing NT.

I think thats how I look at it too and if he doesn't effect us re-signing our own with 35 million to spend whats the down side? Seems like a high reward low risk.

Well, since we are getting closer to something actually happening, and we are going to have to spend money to get to the cap floor, I think the one single player out there that could put us in serious contention is this guy...

Nnamdi Asomugha

With Asomugha and Flowers as our CB's, and Carr brought in with Flowers sliding over to the slot on nickel situations, along with Berry and Lewis makes our secondary sick.

Knowing the secondary can shut everything down, the front 7 should be able to do a lot more damage both against the run and with the pass rush.

Give me Asomugha and resign our main players, and we should be in almost every game this season... knowing we don't have to score tons of points to be in position to win.

Asomaugha is going to be the most sought after free agent on the market.

He's going to command a ton of money, and with Flowers and Carr needing new deals soon, signing Asomaugha for what he will get, even with the Chiefs having money to spend, is not a good idea.

Too much money would be tied up in the one unit.

That's an assumption.

When it comes to dumbasses, I always assume the worst.

I assume this dumbass thinks he saw Dorsey play the nose in anything other than sub packages.
