He didn't want to be here if he couldn't be the general manager. He saw Tony G playing for a playoff team and wanted out to do the same thing. It was for the best.

Yep. (Kelly Gregg at NT) It wotked out for Waters. He had / has something left in the tank.

My level of play dropped significantly because I didn't want to be in KC. I know I shouldn't have lost motivation, but I'm Brian Waters. I wanted to be the general manager, but Clark Hunt hired someone else who wouldn't listen to me. It sucks because I'm Brian Waters. They should have listened to me. I'm glad to be a Patriot, but I really love it when I can create a weird situation. You guys in KC remember that. Yes, I am Brian Waters!!

Why should the facts that the Chiefs moved on from him and the next team cut him after just one year of a 3 year deal not take away from your position? It's not as if he only went to the Titans after a heated bidding war between the Titans and Chiefs, after all. It doesn't mean that there's no chance that the guy can still play but, by his own admission, he didn't get it done.

Mike Goff didn't work out because he sucked ass. He was never on the same level as Waters at age 33, he was done.

Waters played well enough last year to be a Pro Bowler and play in his first Super Bowl. I have no idea if he plays this year but he's a guy that does not need training camp or preseason to be ready to play.

Or you could look at skill-sets to determine future performance, rather than one season's worth of pseudo-stats. You saw what you wanted to see in Gifs, and I told you so at the time. Waters is no longer the brick wall he once was, but he still had the strength and technique to be a very good interior lineman.

There is absolutely nothing in Brian Waters skill-set to suggest he wasn't capable of still being an excellent O-lineman and his performance in New England showed that.

He was a stupid cut.

I understand your position. I'm simply trying to build upon the apparent concern that often times the Chiefs seem to let good talent walk more often than they should.

Goff was a disaster, agreed. I was never implying he was anywhere near the level of Waters - but it seems to me that someone of Waters' caliber shouldn't have been let go, especially for nothing.
