Yes I do. If he underwhelms, I honestly think he won't be here longer that two years. Assuming this is just another SP and Cassell tied at the hip situation is a stretch.

Just to clarify, I think Smith will play well, and probably will get an extension.

Two years is a goddamn eternity. That's two years of Charles, Flowers, Bowe, Hali and DJ we're wasting. That's two years we're not developing a potential franchise QB.

That's you saying that, without knowing what Reids thoughts, and plans are for Bray.....And yes, Bray has the physical talent to be a franchise qb.

People say G. Smith, Barkley, etc aren't worth a shit because no one took them until the 2nd and 4th rounds - but we're supposed to accept Bray as the potential developmental franchise QB?

That's a holdover of the Carl Peterson mentality. It's not safe to draft a QB high, but it is safe to pick one up in the mid to late rounds, or even better as a UDFA because if he fails, well, you didn't lose anything but cash.

You only draft "safe" positions early. Like tackles. Insert gleeful draft gif here.

This one has baffled me for quite some time. Hell, we have 3 or 4 posters reserving a spot in Canton for Bray already.

Do you understand the term Developmental? Guess what, Tony Romo was undrafted as well. Matt Flynn was a 7th rounder, hes a starter today. Kurt Warner was undrafted, and developed. Is it the most logical, and successful way to build your franchise? No, but there is also overreaching, and ending up with Brady Quinn, Jamarcus Russell, Tim Couch, Brandon Weeden, Kevin Kolb, Trent Edwards, Matt Leinart, Vince Young.

There is a reason they wanted Tyler Bray. Bray, was not undrafted because of skill set. He was undrafted because of character concerns, and body of work. The skill set, is all there.

I don't personally care what you accept. You stated that you would of been okay with a stop gap, and a developmental qb. I gave you both. The stop gap, Alex Smith, and the developmental in Tyler bray. And now that's not good enough. You figure it out.

LOL at not including Alice Smiff being picked over Aaron Rodgers as an example of overreaching.

Only a dumbass thinks that way.

Here is why. One, the 49ers were being cheap to the point of no return. That is the major reason why Alex was picked over Aaron. Second, Aaron Rodgers was said to be more strong headed than Alex Smith, and Nolan wanted a yes man. That's why Alex Smith was drafted.

Lastly, no one wants to hear from a Chargers fan, on gaffes about qbs. You pissed away drew brees, and you had Eli Manning, and his daddy, embarrass you in front of the entire country saying they didn't want to play for your shitty franchise. You have no room to talk.

And I think its hilarious, that a Chargers turd, is welcomed here, but 49ers fans aren't wanted.
