Madden NFL 09

Who is going to get this when it comes out???? Last year's version was really disappointing so I will be sure to rent Madden 09 first before buying it.

For PS3, you can just put the draft classes on a flash drive.

Are they returning to the function of just calling the plays without having to actually control a player? I suck at the actual gameplay.

I know this has already been discussed but when does Madden come out? Anybody want to trade GTA for Madden? I've got really really bored with GTA. You can only blow people up, steal drugs, and commit vehicular homicide so many times.

I downloaded the demo and it starts you out w/ the football IQ test and how well you play. The defense shit is hard! No matter how many times I tried to get better at pass defense it was never good enough and if you did a good thing on one play. You'd get burned the next one.

Then I got to play the "Madden moments." trying to do the Giants last superbowl drive in the 4th quarter. I'm not too impressed w/ the actual feel of the game. However it does look good.

I played 6 games of the 2007 season as the Chiefs. I had over 20 interceptions and 12 fumble recoveries IN SIX GAMES. Btw....that's what MY DEFENSE produced. (I'm complaining about GOOD results for me). Of course, I threw a lot of INTs and fumbles, but those could be the result of poor play, so i threw them out. Tamba Hali was on his way to being a superstar, he had 8 sacks in 6 games. I also, however, gave up a bundle of long pass completions.

The chiefs (in reality) were 28th in stopping the run. My Chiefs stuffed the run like crazy. They gave up less than 60yards per game rushing (i was playing on all pro level).

That's when I got disgusted and started using the sliders and letting the machine play itself, trying to produce reasonable game play. Quarterbacks still complete around 50 percent of their passes, but tend to be lower, with a lot of long pass completions.

Its like the dang thing is programmed to play raider football from the 60's and 70's.
I was saying nothing on Madden is going to the same as in real life. I either typed wrong, or you read wrong. I am totally agreeing with you.

Yeah, I see it. I wrote it wrong. Sorry.
