I'm with ya on the "no gift" thing. It offends me that it seems to be expected by women if they're with you on VD.. However, if I get her SOMETHING vaguely romantic, I am definately in. It's a dilemma. I should add that we've known each other and been kinda flirty for a couple years, so it's not like we're strangers.

A nice bottle if wine is a good idea. Dont over do it for someone you only went in 2 dates with.

I would definitely add the two wine glasses (with a somewhat distinctive pattern) as well. It's not over the top, it's fairly practical and IF things work out it's a nice tangible keepsake. If things don't then who cares... you had to drink the wine out of something!

Buy two 50lb sacks of lime, some rope, and a trash bag. Take her out somewhere secluded, make sure that the radio in the car is off. Once you pull over to the destination, ask her to get out as you have a surprise for her. Take her back to the trunk, open it up, give her a second to realize what is in there, then nudge her like you're going to shove her in. Once she stiffens up, break out a smile and say "Gotcha!!"
