The Manning Mega-Thread

This thread contains all of the B.S. Manning threads from the last few days...

Come on guys...this was a great win for this team. Granted, the D still needs some work and we could use some more playmakers, but overall its better than last years squad. Our D got Shredded by Peyton Manning. Hes this generation's Dan Marino. He does that to about every other team in the NFL. Its not like we just got killed by Kyle Boller or anything.......Give Manning some credit too.

Another dumbshit who misses the point.

The best chance for the Chiefs to finally become a legit Super Bowl contender is to draft a franchise caliber QB.

Yes or No.

Simple question.

Do you think the Chiefs will win a Super Bowl with a 36 year old QB coming off a season ending injury and playing in an entirely new offense?

And don't bring the "Give Manning multiple years and he'll win a Super Bowl in KC" shit. Manning has a shelf life of 1-2 years max.

This is a short term answer with no legit chance to win a Super Bowl. NONE.

The goal for Clark Hunt-whores such as yourself is apparentlly NOT to win a Super Bowl.
A chiefs team that almost made the playoffs with Tyler Palko starting 4 games? Yeah I'm pretty sure Manning would make us sb contenders. Manning in march already has a stronger arm than a good percentage of qbs in the league and it can only improve by September.

If a team can go 7-9 while starting Cassel, Palko, and Orton, and missing 2 top 5 players and a third really good player, then I'm sure that they can go to the Superbowl with a hall of fame quarter back and with Charles, Berry, and Moeaki healthy.

We were a blown coverage and missed field goal from 9-7 last year. I don't get how people don't understand how good this team would be with a legit Qb.

I don't agree with that. We lost 3 key starters last season and were still 7-9. 2 flukish blocked kicks from 8-8 and the division.

There can be no yes or no answer to a "would" or "will" question. Now if the question was slightly reworded to read "Do you think the Chiefs CAN win a Super Bowl with Manning at QB?" the answer is "HELL YES."

The Eagles had players wanting to come play with them & be part of the "Dream Team"
It didn't work there, but the FA interest would be close to where ever PM goes

Manning's preparation is legendary. He gives us the best chance to win the SB. Period. He won't need multiple years to do shit. We need to sign him, AND draft a QB in 2013. If Peyton is physically able to perform, which all evidence points toward that being the case, we are contenders to win the big one the day he signs on the dotted line. Vegas agrees.

This team could win 9 games with Cassel.
We won 10 in 2010, and the roster has been significantly improved, along with the development of players who were on the roster then.

The injury & rust concerns are fair enough... but do you REALLY think that his offense wouldnt pretty much be packed up & shipped over with the rest of his belongings?

Regardless of how stupid you may believe mgmt. is, no chance they'd be stupid enough to scrap it, erasing any chance for immediate comfort & production, make him learn a brand new style at this stage of his career?

The O would be 100% tailored around him, dont be and idiot.
