I'll come right out and say it...
Anchorman. Yeah, that's right. I quit after an hour. |

I'm just not a big fan of that over-the-top style of comedy. I didn't like Jim Carrey (especially early on) for the same reason.

Anyone seen Bruiser? I highly recommend it on Netflix.

I loved Anchorman, but I can see how some people didn't like it. My Dad hated it, I remember loaning it to him and he brought it back the next day and simply said "That sucked." usually he would just laugh when I loaned him a shitty movie but he ****ing chewed me out when I loaned him "The 40 Year Old Virgin", he was downright furious. I think he didn't care for Steve Carell.

I'm on the fence as to whether this has or has not been mentioned.....
I may get bashed for this but..... I fell asleep in the theater with my wife watching this shit storm just after screaming in my head....when does the death and destruction begin!?!? it still pisses me off to think of the 3.5 hours of my life I wasted on this thing, and I've never forgiven DeGaggrio.....but at least I did get some rest. Gagtanic they're kissing over here.....they're kissing over there.... FOR GOD'S SAKE HIT THE ****ING ICEBERG ALREADY!!!!

The Postman gets a bad rap. I think people were still pissed at Kostner for Waterworld (which did totally suck), and they were also expecting mushroom clouds, post-apocalyptic destruction and mutants, which isn't what the movie was about. I thought it was a good, low key film, and probably a realistic potrayal of what would happen to isolated communities if the federal government broke down.
