Remember the early Dante days, when he was at running back and his primary play was burying himself up Tim Grunhard's ass?

That backfield with him and Mike Cloud should've been called "Colo-Wrecked-Em!"

I almost get the general sense from your last few posts on the matter that you actually believe that.

I've sincerely tried to like him, figure out whats good about him, what his strengths are as a player and its pretty hard to come up with much... he's such a niche player.

Good - his initial five step quickness is better than average, he does get to his top speed in short order, he doesnt try to dance much, usually gets it upfield as quickly as possible and takes whats there. His hands are good enough for the short, close to the LOS pass game. He can get it outside on a well executed run play.

Bad - while his quickness is good, it easy to want more of it from a guy his size, its nothing all that special imo, you'd also expect a bit more top end speed from that size, dude has no second gear. Gets arm tackled constantly, doesnt have enough wiggle for a diminutive back and hasnt shown enough power to help make up for that lack, constantly gets muscled out of catches, forget about consistently effective blocking with that size, chronic fumbler.

He's a flyweight, one cut and go runner with limited top end speed and very little power behind that, who thus far hasnt shown he can be an effective, down the field route runner and receiver.

Not trying to single you out for a bloviating lecture , its just that the more i see, the less i like this guy as a player, its like you gotta use him just so, gotta have a special plan for him, if he had one real brilliant attribute it'd be different for me, but he sure doesnt seem to and hasnt shown it yet... i'd rather keep Draughn than this guy for sure.

Having said that, if anyone is going to solve his riddle, its Andy Reid, he's always had a fetish for wiry little scatbacks... i hope it works, hope i'm wrong, if i am i'll dutifully eat my helping of crow.

Dex was clearly overdrafted, but I think he'd make an excellent 4th receiver.

In a pinch, he could start a few games a year in the slot.

I mean he's better than having some Bobby Engram brokedick out there for sure.
