I started off liking goodells hard stance on certain issues, but that has now turned to hate, what a control freak this guy is.
Reminds me of Bowe getting fined for wearing those DAMNED good looking all red socks, that was a SWEET look, very clean and modern. |

I love that he fined Earl Bennett for wearing orange cleats, and then Cutler and Marshall wore them (and paid for Bennett's fine IIRC)

instead of fining a guy $10k, who makes Millions, why don't the suspend them for a 1/2 etc.
Guarntee the coaches would make sure they're compliant.

Well if it were crabtree I'd expect the fine to go to a violence against women shelter.

And Ray Lewis has been fined more than most teams. It looks like he's been involved in a few mean hits over the years. 2009 - $25,000 - Unnecessarily kicked the opponent and unnecessarily struck a defenseless receiver 2001 - $7,500 - Hitting Tennessee's Steve McNair in the chest with his helmet in the Ravens' victory over the Titans 2000 - $250,000- Obstructing the investigation of a double murder in Atlanta after this year's Super Bowl, for "conduct detrimental" to the league 2000 - $250,000 - Lying to the police about his involvement in an incident that resulted in the stabbing deaths of two men outside an Atlanta nightclub after the Super Bowl last January 1998 - $250,000 - Lying to the Atlanta police about his involvement in an incident that resulted in the stabbing deaths of two men outside an Atlanta nightclub after January's Super Bowl

Also, it looks like it's a mix of fines for any reason - not only on-field conduct. About $2 million out of the 49ers' $2.5 million total was for salary cap violations and the owner getting nabbed in a gambling scandal. |
