I don't think Dalton falls too far. I wouldn't be surprised if Belichick trades away the 33 and Dalton is the first pick tonight.

Pretty silly for the Bucs to have to "defend" a draft pick. They've been solid in recent years and deserve the benefit of the doubt.

I hope you guys are right about Baldwin. Watching those highlights makes me a bit concerned. People can spout 4.4 all they want, but he didn't look incredibly quick or fast on those clips. I don't brag either. But, then again, I don't think there's been a lot to brag about recently. The Pats have actually underachieved IMO since 2005.

2006: blew the biggest AFCCG lead ever in losing to the Colts.

2007: went 18-0 and blew the freakin' Super Bowl in an Epic Fail of sportsdom.

2008: mulligan season (Bernard Pollard), which they fought through to 11-5 and STILL didn't make the playoffs.

2009: solid season, first-round blowout loss to the Ravens at home.

2010: best record in the league, first-round loss to the freakin' JETS at home.

I'm smart enough to know, yes, they won three Super Bowls. Very impressive. They also won all three by a FG each. It beats losing, to be sure, but I don't see a cause for TEH PATZ ARE TEH BEST EVAH!!!11!!1!

Checking in from the post-apocalyptic wasteland that used to be Tuscaloosa. No internet last night (damn, I missed not being on the boards for this), but I was able to watch the draft through the magic of the one bar with both electricity and satellite TV.

Nice work by Pioli last night. I'm joining the board chorus that is excited about the Baldwin pick. If anyone can make sure Baldwin doesn't bust, it's Haley.
